When it comes to biking, we might pause before an obstacle, but not for long. It seems nature has been causing a fair bit of them lately. Such as the construction on Madison's SW path, between Midvale and Odana. Are they dredging a deeper channel with that backhoe? Maybe to accomodate more rainfall? Or this flooded area on the MIlitary Ridge Bike Path, just to the west of Verona, near the Epic Campus.

Sometimes you just have to get wet to get where you are going. The above group of bikers was trying to find a way through until J and I stopped, pulled off our shoes and started to wade through it ourselves. Suddenly, off came everyone's shoes.

It was cold, and deep; above the knee, murky and a little slick too.

On the way back...we road through in our lowest gear and we made it. The sign may say closed, but that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun.

Sometimes just riding around Madison is quite the adventure!
